Accountabilities:
 checking prescriptions to ensure that there are no errors and that they are appropriate and safe for the individual patient;
 Being responsible for the accurate dispensing and timely distribution of ***** and medicines for inpatients or outpatients;
 implement, and maintain procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals, according to policy and legal requirements, to ensure quality, security, and proper disposal
 providing advice on the dosage of medicines and the most appropriate form of medication, for example, tablet, injection, ointment or inhaler;
 discussing treatments with patients’ relatives, community pharmacists
 ensuring medicines are stored appropriately and securely to ensure freshness and potency;;
 supervising the work of less experienced and less qualified staff;
 Responding to medication-related queries within the hospital, other hospitals and the general public;
 keeping up to date with, and contributing to, research and development;
 writing guidelines for drug use within the hospital and implementing hospital regulations;
 Communicate with physicians, nurses and other health care professionals to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and economic drug treatment;
 Monitoring every stage of medication therapy to improve all aspects of delivery and reporting patient side effects;
 Responsible for handling narcotics and regulate the cycle within the hospital
